Religious Education

“My Religion is very simple. My Religion is kindness.” – (Dalai Lama)

Castleisland Commuity College is a public non- denominational secondary school and openly welcomes students of all religious traditions and none.

Religious Education is very much an integral part of the in- school Curriculum both at Junior and Senior Cycle however currently it is being offered as an examination subject. The school closely adheres to the non- exam syllabi and all R.E. classes promote awareness, understanding, belief, tolerance, empathy and respect for the values and beliefs of all.
